Gary demonstrating his satisfaction of the apartment |
... no kidding! I felt puny here because everything was so big and wide. Everything is supersized--shops, cars (an abundance of white SUVs and pickup trucks), roads, highways, food portions...and people. I sometime lose my spatial awareness, especially on the road as I get confused which lane the cars should turn into. But then again, I almost drove into a tree on the golf buggy (if you've heard of Gary's side of story, he'd tell you that I did as he was shouting "TREE!!!!!!!!" but seriously, I wasn't going to crash into the tree!)

This whole building is just Target..well, Super Target |
We had several snow days second week into Frisco. The whole city was in a stand still as nobody was prepared for snow or ice, which resulted in cancellation of several shows (first time in Cirque's history apparently). All the roads were covered with an inch of ice and nobody had shovels or salts. At one point, Frisco was -19 Celsius including windchill... who would've thought?! Then HAH! The next week was back to sunny 22 Celsius in February.

Out to hunt for food on a snow day |
We paid a visit to Dallas to look for some southern goodies and toured J.F.K's memorial (he was assassinated in Dallas).
We generally think of the south as 'cowboys, boots, hats, horses and bulls'...but to some extent it really is cowboys, boots, hats, horses and bulls. You do see a lot of open fields with horses and the infamous longhorn bulls roaming around.
If you want to see more cowboys, go to Fort Worth Stockyards! We did! Once we arrived, we felt like we walked right into a Western movie. The Stockyards was once the second largest cattle market in the world. It is now a registered historic district and the last standing stockyards in USA.
