Impedimenta...Basketball

Finally, Harry Potter 7 Part 1!!

I loved it. This movie is the closest to the book out of all the other Harry Potter movies, understandably as it was filmed in 2 parts.

Can you believe that by the time the last movie is debuted next year, we have seen all of them in the last decade?

I so admire that all the actors/actresses of the important characters have committed to their role for all this time. Hermione Granger would not be the same if it wasn't Emma Watson from beginning to the end, and same for all the other roles.

I would be quite sad when the last movie comes out next year... like I have to mourn all over again, when I did after finished reading the last book. That would be the end of my looking-forward-to-the-next-Harry-Potter-next-year-when?-that's-so-long-from-now!! era... for the last decade!!

Harry Potter--forever a classic series (really trying to rationalize that there isn't a real wizarding world....but we never know, would we? we're just muggles)

Now onto the NBA game we watched on Monday evening at Philips Arena.
Atlanta Hawks vs. Boston Celtics

Don't ask me what the score was, I didn't pay attention... sorry!

First off, I'm not that interested in NBA, but it's just cool to watch a live game one time to see what's it all about.

Second, it was wayyyyy too distracting! There were the cheerleaders, the mascots running around, every time there was a time-out or between periods, there were too many things going on with games, prizes and show. Then there were screens all over the place, always something flashing. And then the cheesy sound effects......Come on! Just want to watch the game and concentrate on it. Instead it was like a carnival...

I totally lost interest by half time. My mission became 'spot the famous people'.
Bow Wow eating nachos or something like that
Ludacris with a lady friend (?)
Chris Tucker in leather jacket with water bottle
And there was The Dream, but my camera ran out of battery =/

Pat Burke----LEGENDARY!!!

What else can top the farewell rock 'n roll party we had for Pat?? Consensus showed that, that was the best party EVER for the past 2 years on OVO.

First off, much thanks to everyone who performed at the party and all the supporting techs and staff even after hour. Without you all we wouldn't be having such an awesome time. We have many, many talented people here and it's such a privilege that we sometime take for granted.

And of course, thanks Patrick for bringing all of us together!!!

Sunday night, we hopped over from the hotel to the jazz bar right across the street for the party. Got there at 10:30pm Pat and the others were already on stage jamming!

Through out the night, lots of people were on stage playing, singing, dancing and even acting continuously (not to forget that many are multi-talented and been playing on different instruments). Lots of speeches (what touching moments).

In the end, the party turned out to be a mini concert where many from the audience dancing and jumping, reaching for the stage, singing our hearts out along (including myself!). With the finale, climax, of Pat smashing a guitar up!!!

If it wasn't because the bar was closing, we'd love to have stayed past 3am just because it was so much fun. (understand that we normally are tired and done partying by 1:30, 2am these days hahaha)

Really awesome night.

 Keep rockin!!!!

Night time... DAY time! PROJECT TIME!!!

Finally Gary got his third eye delt with this morning! Poor him got picked on all night when we played Werewolf the night before because his gigantic spot was in everyone's face.Getting up at 8am wasn't easy when we played til 2:30am!!
Good game though, guys! Something to look forward to every Tuesday =)

After the docs, Gary and I met Rebecca at IHOP, not too far from our hotel. The greasy breakfast kept me fueled  for the rest of the day when Rebecca and I went shopping at Michael's and a fabric store for 4  hours in total.
I want everything from Michael's craft store! I wish to have my own studio sometime, with all the equipment, tools, and material I need to make crafts and sew away!!! I got quite a few things today for a few projects that I have in mind. That will keep me busy for sometime. Whoop whoop.

So Far Mondays = Chinatown

I've been missing food from home for a while now. Sesame chicken, sweet and sour pork, spring rolls... those kind of fixes have lost their effects. I want the real thing!!

Luckily, there's a better Chinatown here than Washington. As you saw from previous post, DC only really had a China"gate" whereas Atlanta has at least a China"plaza".

Visited with Rebecca, Minnie, Li Wei, Gary and second time with Mich and Laura. I stocked up on noodles, dumplings, veggies and more. Gary and Laura were happy to discover Ribena there. And Li Wei bought enough food to feed a village.

Lunch at the Chinese food court was delicious. It may not be the tastiest, but anything taste closer to home is enough for the authentic Asian food deprived stomach. Not to mention the price was very good for its worth.

Don't be fooled, this is all for Li Wei himself.

Atlanta Premier: Halloween

As Halloween happened to be during our week off, we made our Premier Dinner/Party Halloween-themed.

Lots of people helped decorated the kitchen. Children were running around in costumes... trick or treating at different departments on site and pumpkin carving in the kitchen.
I was busy working on the haunted/maze trailer, which turned out to be alright in the end, working with whatever I had on hands. Shame we had to change our idea last minute, or else it would've been much better.
Pumpkins carved by the children
Surprise!! Chocolate fountain!
